A housekeeper is an employee in the private service of an individual. These employees carry out domestic tasks of a manual nature for the employer and their family.
Since January 2012, the status of a housekeeper is divided into 3 sub-categories, depending on the type of tasks to be carried out: domestic housekeeper for cleaning, domestic housekeeper& and domestic housekeeper childcare (nannies, babysitters).
This status also applies to diplomatic housekeeping staff and to housekeeping staff without legal residence, because they also have employment rights.
