Working in Belgium
Your eligibility to work in Belgium and the conditions under which you may do so depend on your nationality and your right of residence in Belgium.
If you are a national of a country in the European Union (EU) or a country within the European Economic Area (EEA), or Switzerland, select the EU citizen option.
The European Union Member States are: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus*, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden.
The member states of the European Economic Area (EEA) include the Member States of the European Union, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
Swiss nationals enjoy the same rights and are subject to the same rules as citizens of the European Union or the European Economic Area.
*Please note: EU law applies only in the Greek part of the island of Cyprus.
