Work clothing & travel expenses

The sectoral collective labour agreements in the service voucher sector determine that the employer must pay for work clothing, tools and travel expenses.

Work clothing

Tools, work clothing and all necessary materials (and maintenance) must be provided by the employer. If your employer does not provide you with work clothing and you have to provide it yourself, the employer must pay you an allowance of €1.74 per working day.

If you wash your work clothing yourself, an allowance of €0.25 per working day must be paid.

Travel expenses

If you use public transport to get to work or to carry out your tasks, your employer must pay 100% of the expenses. They must provide you with a season ticket.

The expenses that the employer pays for work clothing, tools and travel may not be offset as payment in kind.
